Starts Sunday 25 October 2026 to Sunday 25 October 2026 If you would like to follow this incident on X, please use Train operators affected Northern TransPennine Express Route(s) affected Northern between Bishop Auckland and Saltburn TransPennine Express between Manchester Airport / York and Saltburn Description Engineering work is taking place between South Bank and Longbeck, closing all lines. Northern: Trains will run between Bishop Auckland and Middlesbrough. A replacement bus service will run between Middlesbrough and Saltburn. TransPennine Express: Due to further engineering work in the York area , Transpennine Express trains will be replaced by buses between York and Saltburn.
