What to do now
- Keep the PIR and check that it describes the issue accurately.
- Write to the airline with dates, flight details, the reference and evidence.
- Keep proof of submission and distinguish damage, delay and permanent loss.
What can change your rights
For damage, complain in writing within seven days after receiving the bag; for delay, within 21 days after it is made available. Do not apply the damage deadline automatically to a permanently lost bag or confuse a complaint deadline with the time limit for court action. The template below helps organise facts without establishing an entitlement.
Evidence to keep
- Booking confirmation and boarding passes; keep these in your own records.
- Baggage tags, an irregularity report and dated photographs.
- Itemised receipts, airline messages and proof that your written claim was sent.
Common questions
Does AeroDue submit this claim?
No. Adapt the template and submit through the airline's official channel. The diagnostic does not require you to upload documents here.
Should I wait for the checker result?
Do not wait if it risks missing a deadline. Report and write to the airline while checking your rights.
Written baggage claim template
Replace the fields with the actual facts and send through the airline's official claims channel. Do not wait for a diagnostic before meeting a deadline.

This answer explains general rules. Your route, travel date and facts determine which rules apply. AeroDue's checker only confirms a supported conclusion when the facts and verified legal coverage are sufficient. AeroDue does not receive or file your airline claim and does not guarantee payment.
Check my case
Use AeroDue to organise possible rights and check your case without creating an account or providing an email for the diagnostic. You can claim directly with the airline. If a suitable external provider is available, the checker presents that option separately from its assessment.
