Global coverage

Your flight does not follow one worldwide law. AeroDue checks which rules may apply.

You do not need to know whether your case is EU261, UK261, APPR, DOT or something else. Enter the journey once. AeroDue checks the route, operating carrier, problem and the verified legal coverage currently available before it shows a conclusion.

What AeroDue can conclude today — and what it deliberately keeps closed

A country having passenger-rights law does not mean AeroDue is already allowed to issue an automatic legal conclusion there. We separate the existence of a regime from the current publication status of our deterministic engine.

CE 261/2004 Deterministic check available

European Union / EEA / Switzerland

Available for supported European-rule situations. The checker still decides applicability from the actual journey; CE261 is not a worldwide rule.

Supported deterministic rules are currently publishable when the journey facts and source-health gates pass.
UK261 Verified subset

Great Britain

Current verified AeroDue subset: flight-delay compensation on departures from Great Britain. Other UK scenarios remain outside this narrow activation.

Only a specifically reviewed subset is currently publishable; the rest stays closed.
APPR In validation

Canada

Canada has its own APPR regime. AeroDue is validating the deterministic mapping and keeps passenger-specific automatic conclusions closed for now.

Official material is being monitored or mapped, but automatic legal conclusions remain closed until the deterministic gates pass.
US DOT In validation

United States

US rights are issue-specific. AeroDue does not copy the European fixed-delay model into US journeys; refund, denied-boarding and other DOT rights require their own mapping.

Official material is being monitored or mapped, but automatic legal conclusions remain closed until the deterministic gates pass.
ANAC 400 In validation

Brazil

Brazil has its own ANAC framework. Source and mapping work is still under validation before AeroDue can publish deterministic passenger-specific conclusions.

Official material is being monitored or mapped, but automatic legal conclusions remain closed until the deterministic gates pass.
Australian Consumer Law / ACCC In validation

Australia

Australian consumer protections work differently from CE261. AeroDue is validating the applicable consumer-rights mapping before automatic conclusions are published.

Official material is being monitored or mapped, but automatic legal conclusions remain closed until the deterministic gates pass.
Montreal Convention 1999 Not automatic yet

International transport

The Montreal Convention can matter in international transport, especially for baggage and proven delay damage. Liability limits are not automatic payouts.

The framework may be relevant, but AeroDue does not currently issue a general automatic conclusion for it.
AeroDue Not automatic yet

Other markets

Mexico, Colombia, Chile, India, China and other jurisdictions can have their own passenger-rights rules. Route recognition is not the same as deterministic legal coverage.

The framework may be relevant, but AeroDue does not currently issue a general automatic conclusion for it.

The checker uses the current Rights Engine publication state, not a marketing country count. If a source becomes stale or a rule falls out of its safety gate, the dependent conclusion is suppressed.

01

The same countries can produce a different answer when the direction or carrier changes

These are simplified examples to show why AeroDue starts with the journey rather than asking you to choose a law. The checker applies the current supported rules to the facts you provide.

LIS → NYC

Departure from the EU

European passenger-rights rules may be relevant because the journey departs from the EU, even when the destination is outside Europe.

NYC → LIS

Arrival into the EU

The European-rule analysis can change with the operating carrier. Reversing the direction is not legally identical.

NYC → MIA

US domestic journey

US federal passenger rights work differently. A long delay does not automatically create the same fixed compensation table used in Europe.

02

A useful checker needs more than a green ‘yes’

The result should tell you what the system can support — including when the answer is no, incomplete or outside current deterministic coverage.

Potentially eligible

A supported verified rule matches the facts. AeroDue can show the relevant right and, where safely calculable, a potential value.

No monetary compensation identified

The checked facts do not satisfy a supported compensation rule. That does not automatically remove refund, care, expenses or baggage rights.

More information needed

A fact that can change eligibility is missing. AeroDue keeps the conclusion open instead of turning an unknown into a yes or a no.

Outside current deterministic coverage

The journey may involve a real legal regime, but AeroDue does not yet have enough validated deterministic coverage to issue the passenger-specific conclusion safely.

03

‘Not eligible for compensation’ does not always mean ‘nothing to recover’

Compensation is only one category. Depending on the journey and the supported regime, a passenger may still need to check other rights separately.

Ticket refundMeals, hotel or necessary expensesRe-routing or careBaggage and proven losses
04

What AeroDue checks before it shows a legal result

The interface language and the passenger’s nationality do not decide the legal answer. The Rights Engine works from journey facts and current verified coverage.

01

Route and direction

Origin, destination and the direction of travel can change territorial scope.

02

Operating carrier

In some regimes, who actually operates the flight can change whether a rule applies.

03

What went wrong

Delay, cancellation, denied boarding, refund, expenses and baggage can trigger different rights.

04

Timing and thresholds

Arrival delay, notice periods and other time facts can change the outcome.

05

Cause and missing facts

When the reason or another eligibility fact is unknown, AeroDue does not invent it.

06

Source and rule health

A result only appears when its source, version, applicability and deterministic publication gates are healthy.

AERODUE

You do not need to choose the law. Start with the journey.

Tell AeroDue what happened. The checker will determine which currently supported rules are relevant, what may be recoverable, what is not eligible and what still cannot be concluded safely.
