Brisbane schedules alternating runway maintenance in November
Brisbane Airport plans November runway maintenance while keeping the other runway operating. Work is scheduled on the eastern runway on 3 and 10 November and on the western runway on 4 and 11 November.
The local-time windows are 12:00–14:30 on 3–4 November, 10:00–16:00 on 10 November and 10:00–15:30 on 11 November.
Weather and operational requirements may change the plan. The notice does not announce a full airport closure.
The plan distinguishes the eastern and western runways and schedules work on alternating dates. That matters because the airport expects the other runway to remain operational during the work, rather than announcing a closure of the entire airport. The published hours are local and should be interpreted carefully by people following operations from another time zone.
Scheduled maintenance may alter the distribution of aircraft movements, and weather or operations can still change the dates. It does not, by itself, mean that a passenger's flight will be delayed or cancelled. Anyone booked during the affected windows should consult their airline and current airport notices. A technical maintenance window is not confirmation of an individual travel disruption.
Check the operator's latest conditions before booking or travelling.
