Cathay Pacific cancels Dubai and Riyadh passenger flights until 31 January 2027
Cathay Pacific has cancelled its passenger flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh up to and including 31 January 2027, citing the latest developments in the Middle East, according to a notice on the Hong Kong airline's website.
The notice, last updated on 28 September 2026, covers passenger flights on both the Dubai and Riyadh routes. Cathay Pacific says affected travellers will be offered the flexibility to rebook, reroute or refund their tickets, and that it will continue to monitor the evolving situation closely.
The cancellation matters for travellers between Hong Kong and the Gulf, and for those who use Cathay Pacific's Hong Kong hub to connect between Asia-Pacific and the United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia. It extends well into the northern winter season, so passengers planning trips for the end-of-year period or January need alternative arrangements.
Cathay Pacific's notice does not list flight numbers, explain the conditions of each rebooking or rerouting option, or say when it expects to review the date again. Passengers with tickets for travel up to 31 January should contact the airline or their travel agent to choose an option, and those booking later dates should check the notice for any further change.
Check the operator's latest conditions before booking or travelling.
