Finland's airports add 31 new routes for winter 2026–27, with ten new European links to Lapland

Finavia airports will have 31 new routes this winter compared with last winter, the Finnish airport operator said on 8 October 2026. The international winter season runs from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027, and Finavia airports will offer 163 international scheduled connections to 103 airports abroad.

Lapland gains routes to ten new European destinations. Rovaniemi gets new services from London Gatwick with BA Euroflyer, Newcastle with easyJet, Munich with Lufthansa and Prague with Eurowings, while Kittilä adds Amsterdam with Transavia Netherlands, Brussels with Brussels Airlines, and Liverpool and London Luton with easyJet. Brussels Airlines will fly to Kemi-Tornio for the first time, Discover Airlines launches a direct route from Munich to Ivalo, and airBaltic and Eurowings add flights to Kuusamo.

At Helsinki Airport, Finnair launches Melbourne on 24 October 2026 and adds Luxembourg, Stavanger, Turin and Umeå compared with last winter. Emirates serves its first full winter on its daily Dubai route, Qatar Airways flies daily to Doha, and Norwegian launches Helsinki–Tromsø in November. "Finland's accessibility will be further strengthened in the upcoming winter season through new international routes," said Petri Vuori, Senior Vice President, Route Development, at Finavia.

Finavia does not give frequencies for every route, and some Lapland connections reach their full extent only at peak season. Travellers should check exact dates and frequencies with the airline before booking.
