Fujairah and ENAV explore air traffic modernisation partnership
ENAV, Fujairah International Airport and ADAS have signed a memorandum to assess a long-term air traffic management partnership. The announcement was made in Dubai on 13 October.
Proposed areas include airport planning, digital or remote towers and aeronautical information systems. ENAV says the work could support capacity and airport accessibility.
This is a feasibility assessment. The announcement does not report a new tower entering service or operational benefits already achieved.
A memorandum of understanding identifies opportunities to cooperate; it is not the same as a new system entering service. The announcement names possible studies covering air-traffic management, airport planning, digital or remote towers and aeronautical information systems. Any future implementation depends on technical assessment, local requirements and safety approvals.
For travellers, the key distinction is between proposed work and proven results. The document does not confirm that a new tower is operational, that airport capacity has immediately increased or that flight timetables have changed. Those would require later confirmation from the airport and relevant aviation authorities. This is infrastructure reporting, not an alert about disruption to an existing passenger booking.
