Singapore Airlines plans new KrisWorld screens and Starlink Wi-Fi from 2027

Singapore Airlines is overhauling the entertainment and connectivity on its long-haul fleet, with a next-generation KrisWorld system and Starlink internet arriving progressively from 2027. The airline announced the changes on 22 October 2026 and says the new cabin experience will be unveiled in Singapore in November 2026.

The new KrisWorld, with 4K touchscreens (OLED on selected aircraft), Bluetooth headphone pairing and more than 2,500 entertainment options, will be fitted to 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft and to the upcoming Boeing 777-9. Starlink high-speed connectivity will be introduced from early 2027 on the A380, the A350-900 long-haul and the A350-900ULR, the aircraft used on the airline's longest routes.

Passengers in Suites, First and Business Class, as well as PPS Club and KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy and Economy, will keep unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi, according to the airline. The announcement does not say what other passengers will pay or receive.

Because the rollout is gradual, many flights in 2027 will still be operated by aircraft without the new systems. Travellers who care about the upgrade should check the aircraft type shown for their flight when booking.
