Tirana airport to close on selected nights between 9 and 27 November 2026 for runway rehabilitation
Tirana International Airport will close during selected overnight periods between 9 and 27 November 2026 for rehabilitation works on runway 17/35, according to the airport events listing published by EUROCONTROL. The entry is marked as having an impact on operations.
The closures are grouped in three blocks of nights: 9 to 13 November, 16 to 20 November and 23 to 27 November. The listing gives the closure window as 20:00 to 05:00 UTC on the first night of each block and 17:00 to 05:00 UTC on the remaining nights of the block.
A separate entry in the same listing shows that taxiway C at Tirana has been closed by NOTAM and that the closure remains in force until 30 December 2026, with no aircraft allowed to enter, cross or taxi on it unless specifically authorised for safety reasons.
The listing does not say which flights or airlines are affected by the night closures, or whether services will be retimed or cancelled. Passengers with evening or night flights to or from Tirana during these dates should check the departure and arrival times with their airline, keeping in mind that the closure windows are published in UTC rather than local time.
Check the operator's latest conditions before booking or travelling.
