Warsaw Chopin Airport assistance for reduced mobility: request it at least 48 hours before departure

Editorial interpretation

Passengers with reduced mobility flying from Warsaw Chopin Airport should ask for assistance when they book, and no later than 48 hours before the scheduled departure. The airport’s official assistance page says the request goes to the airline or tour operator at the time of booking or buying the ticket.

Once at the airport, help begins from the moment the passenger reports their arrival. Warsaw Chopin lists several ways to do that: the SOS call pillars, four of which are in the departures area and one in the connector between the terminal and the railway station; the airport information desks in departures zones AB and D and in arrivals zone AB; or the check-in counter for the flight. Trained assistance staff then accompany the passenger through the travel process according to their individual needs.

The airport also notes that extra stopping time is allowed in the Kiss & Fly zone for people using specialised wheelchairs or other mobility aids, which can make drop-off easier for those travelling with a companion.

The 48-hour notice is what allows the service to be planned. When booking, tell the airline exactly what help is needed, keep a record of the request and confirm it again before travel, particularly when connecting through other airports where separate arrangements may apply.
