Method and limits
- Source: U.S. Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Statistics — Reporting Carrier On-Time Performance, August 2026 file (original archive, SHA-256
a98c5c4a8407…). Public Domain U.S. Government. AeroDue publishes monthly aggregates; raw flight rows are not republished. - On time means an arrival delay of less than 15 minutes, among completed flights with a reported arrival delay. Cancelled is the share of scheduled records reported as cancelled.
- Scope: US domestic flights operated by carriers that report to BTS. Airport rankings measure the arrival airport. Routes are directional, so A → B and B → A are ranked separately.
- Minimum samples: 5,000 records for airports and 500 for routes, so small samples cannot top a list. Smaller scopes remain available in the individual reports.
- Limits: one month of history. Rankings do not explain causes (weather, air traffic control, airline operations) and are not a prediction for any future flight, a safety rating or evidence of eligibility for compensation.
