Aena's airports handled 309.9 million passengers in the first nine months of 2026, up 4.1%

Aena's network of airports handled 309.9 million passengers between January and September 2026, 4.1% more than in the same period of 2025, the Spanish airport operator reported on 28 October 2026 in its results for the first nine months of the year. Its airports in Spain accounted for 257.2 million of those passengers, also an increase of 4.1%.

The group total covers the airports Aena runs in Spain together with London Luton and Leeds Bradford in the United Kingdom and its Aena Brasil airports. The operator presented the traffic figures together with its financial results for the period.

Aena says most of the investment it paid out between January and September went mainly to improving airport facilities and operational safety. It also refers to its regulation document for 2027–2031, known as DORA III, which sets out regulated investment intended to give its Spanish airports the capacity needed for future traffic demand.

The release does not name specific terminal projects or works affecting passengers, and it does not break down the totals for Luton or Brazil. Travellers planning trips through Spanish airports should check the airport's own pages for current works or terminal changes, which are not covered by these results.
