Finnair restores daily flights between Turku, Tampere-Pirkkala and Helsinki Airport

Finnair began flying again between Turku and Tampere-Pirkkala airports and Helsinki Airport on Sunday 25 October 2026, the Finnish airport operator Finavia said, restoring daily air links between the two cities and the country's main hub.

Finnair operates one daily overnight rotation to each city with ATR aircraft seating 68 to 70 passengers. The return flights depart Turku and Tampere at 06:00 and arrive in Helsinki at 06:35, in time for the airline's early-morning departures to Europe, while the late-night flights leave Helsinki at 23:50 after the evening arrivals from Europe. Daytime connections to Helsinki are also available on flights with an intermediate stop, from Oulu via Tampere and from Stockholm via Turku.

Finavia says the routes give travellers in the Turku and Tampere regions smoother access to domestic and international destinations through Helsinki. Petri Vuori, who is responsible for route development at Finavia, said the flights add significantly to regional accessibility, while Turku airport manager Juha Aaltonen said it was important for local residents and workers to use the route so that demand turns into passenger numbers.

Finavia's announcement does not say how long the schedule is planned to run or whether frequencies will change in later seasons. Passengers should confirm current times and connections directly with Finnair when booking.
