Lisbon Airport’s Terminal 2 handles departures only, ANA explains. Your departure terminal should therefore not be chosen simply from where you arrived on a previous trip.

Check your ticket for the correct terminal. A free shuttle connects Terminal 1 with Terminal 2.

Confirm the airline’s instructions before travelling. A shuttle connection still requires time alongside check-in, security and boarding procedures.

Lisbon Terminal 2 should not be treated as an alternative arrivals building. ANA describes it as a departures facility and provides a free shuttle connecting the airport's terminals. A passenger who previously arrived at Terminal 1 should therefore not assume the next departure uses that terminal.

The correct departure terminal must be checked with the airline and airport, especially on separate bookings or when changing carriers. The shuttle journey adds time to a trip that may also require check-in, security screening and getting to the departure gate. This apparently small operational detail can help prevent travellers going to the wrong building. Always check the current instructions on the day of travel.
