LOT Polish Airlines and Thai Airways sign memorandum on planned codeshare for 2027

LOT Polish Airlines and Thai Airways International have signed a memorandum of understanding setting out their intention to start codeshare cooperation, LOT announced on 14 October 2026. The signing coincided with the inauguration of LOT's route between Warsaw and Bangkok.

The planned partnership would cover selected destinations in Europe, Asia and Oceania, allowing each airline to sell seats on certain flights operated by the other. The memorandum was signed by Robert Ludera, LOT's board member and chief commercial officer, and Kittiphong Sansomboon, chief commercial officer of THAI. According to the release, the first journeys are planned from the start of the 2027 summer season, while its summary refers to a launch in early 2027.

For passengers, a codeshare would mean being able to book selected flights of both airlines on a single ticket within the destinations the agreement eventually covers. The release does not say whether the Warsaw–Bangkok route itself will form part of the agreement.

No codeshare agreement has yet been signed. The next steps are signing that agreement and completing technical and operational preparations, and the offer is subject to regulatory approval. The routes, flight numbers and exact start date have not been published, so travellers should not assume that joint tickets are available until both airlines confirm them.
