LOT Polish Airlines launches Fly&Rail tickets combining flights with Swiss and Swedish trains

LOT Polish Airlines has launched LOT Fly&Rail, a product that sells a flight and an onward train journey in a single reservation, the airline announced on 27 October 2026. The service is available for trips arriving in Zurich, Geneva or Stockholm and covers 33 railway stations, 18 in Switzerland and 15 in Sweden.

The trains are run by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and Swedish State Railways (SJ), and the rail connections were integrated into LOT's reservation system by AccesRail. Customers book and pay once. On lot.com, travellers enter a Swiss or Swedish railway station as their final destination and the system shows combined flight-and-train options. Tickets are sold through all of LOT's sales channels.

Check-in remains separate. The flight follows LOT's normal online or app check-in, while the rail segment needs a separate check-in on the AccesRail platform, which opens 24 hours before departure for SBB trains and 36 hours before departure for SJ trains. LOT says the product initially applies to its short-haul flights and that it plans to extend it gradually across its network.

The release does not name the 33 stations or explain how checked baggage is handled between the plane and the train, and it does not say what happens if a delayed flight causes a missed train. Passengers should confirm these conditions with LOT before booking a combined ticket.
