Ryanair to link Shannon and Milan Bergamo twice a week from 28 March 2027
Ryanair will open a new route between Shannon, in Ireland, and Milan Bergamo from 28 March 2027, the airline announced on 4 November 2026. Flights will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, and tickets are already on sale through the Ryanair app and website.
The route was revealed ahead of the full launch of Ryanair's summer 2027 schedule, which the airline expects in the coming months. Ryanair says the service adds to its expanding Shannon network and gives Irish travellers access to Milan and nearby areas such as the Italian Lakes and the Alps.
"Ryanair is pleased to give our Irish customers a sneak peek at what new routes we will be offering," said Jade Kirwan, the airline's director of communications. Ray O'Driscoll, chief executive of The Shannon Airport Group, described the decision as "another strong vote of confidence in Shannon Airport", noting that it follows the airport's strongest route line-up in 17 years.
The release does not give flight times or aircraft details. More summer 2027 routes from Irish airports may be announced with the full schedule, so travellers planning onward connections in northern Italy should check timings with Ryanair before booking.
