Lufthansa Group unveils ten new intercontinental links for summer 2027
Lufthansa Group unveiled its summer 2027 schedule on 20 October 2026, announcing ten new intercontinental links and additional frequencies. The group describes the programme as its largest network expansion since 2020.
Among the Lufthansa services announced are Frankfurt–Columbus, planned three times weekly from 5 May 2027, and Munich–Phoenix, also planned three times weekly from 3 August 2027.
Other group airlines are included, with destinations across Europe, the Americas and Asia. ITA Airways plans to introduce Rome Fiumicino–Caracas from 30 March 2027, while the group lists additional options for Japanese destinations including Tokyo Narita and Nagoya.
The expansion seeks to offer greater connectivity for business travellers, tourists and connecting passengers. However, each destination has specific operating days, and an announced route does not imply a daily flight.
Lufthansa Group says the summer programme became available for booking on 20 October. Before purchasing, passengers should confirm the exact itinerary, airport, schedule and ticket-change conditions.
