Smartwings launches direct Prague–Lisbon service on three days each week
Smartwings began scheduled direct flights between Prague and Lisbon on 23 October 2026. The carrier says flights operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. According to the airline, the inaugural service was fully booked. The route offers another nonstop option for passengers travelling between the Czech Republic and Portugal.
The company plans to operate the route with a Boeing 737 carrying 189 passengers. It gives an approximate flight duration of three hours and forty minutes from Prague to Lisbon and three hours and twenty-five minutes in the opposite direction. Actual departure times and equipment must be checked for each travel date.
Lisbon joins Porto, Funchal on Madeira and Ponta Delgada in the Azores as the fourth Portuguese city served by Smartwings. The airline also announced the return of regular Prague–Bucharest flights from 26 November, on a different schedule. It described the new Lisbon connection as part of an expanded network for winter travel.
For travellers, the principal advantage is the ability to fly directly on the three scheduled weekdays. The airline published an indicative starting price, but future ticket availability and final fares will vary. When comparing tickets, check the total price, baggage restrictions, operating times and any separate onward reservations rather than relying on the launch announcement alone.
