SWISS launches Zurich–Bengaluru flights, its third route to India

SWISS International Air Lines flew its first service from Zurich to Bengaluru on 27 October 2026. Flight LX140 left Zurich at 1:34 p.m., opening a route that the airline will operate five times a week non-stop.

Bengaluru becomes the Swiss carrier's third destination in India, after Delhi and Mumbai. SWISS presents the route as a targeted investment in its long-haul network and as a way of strengthening Switzerland's international connectivity. Chief executive Jens Fehlinger said the service creates opportunities for travellers, for Swiss companies and for Switzerland as a business location, describing India as a market with enormous potential.

The new service gives travellers in Bengaluru a non-stop link to Zurich and adds a third Indian gateway to the SWISS long-haul network, alongside the existing Delhi and Mumbai flights. The route was first announced in May, and the airline has also published travel content about the city in its SWISS Magazine.

The release does not name the aircraft type, the operating days or the arrival and return times. Passengers should check the schedule for their travel date and, for India, confirm entry and visa requirements before booking.
