LOT launches Fly&Rail tickets combining its flights with Swiss and Swedish trains
LOT Polish Airlines has launched LOT Fly&Rail, which lets passengers book a flight and a connecting train journey in a single reservation with one payment, the airline announced on 27 October 2026. In this first phase the service is available on arrival in Zurich, Geneva or Stockholm, with onward rail travel to 33 stations: 18 in Switzerland and 15 in Sweden.
The rail legs are run by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and Sweden's SJ, and were integrated into LOT's reservation system by AccesRail. Tickets are sold through all LOT channels; on lot.com, a traveller enters a Swiss or Swedish station as the final destination and is shown combined flight and train options. Check-in is separate for each leg: the flight through LOT's usual online or app check-in, the train through the AccesRail Check-In platform, which opens 24 hours before departure for SBB trains and 36 hours before for SJ trains.
LOT says the product starts with its short-haul flights and will gradually extend to the whole network, describing it as the first step in expanding its intermodal offer, particularly with the planned launch of Port Polska. "We intend to provide our passengers with the ability to plan their journeys more comprehensively," said Robert Ludera, LOT's chief commercial officer and board member.
The announcement does not explain how baggage is handled or what happens if a delayed flight causes a missed train. Passengers should check those conditions with LOT before booking a combined itinerary.
