Oman Air and Finnair launch codeshare linking Muscat with Helsinki and Melbourne

Oman Air and Finnair have launched a codeshare partnership that links Oman with Finland and Australia, Oman Air announced on 18 October 2026. The airline says it is its first new codeshare since it joined the oneworld alliance in June 2025.

Under the agreement, customers can travel between Muscat and Helsinki via London Heathrow, where Oman Air operates 11 weekly flights from Muscat. Finnair-operated flights to Helsinki from Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Milan and Rome are also included. Towards Australia, the partnership covers connections to Melbourne via Bangkok, which Oman Air serves twice daily. Muscat is presented as the hub and as a stopover point through Oman Air's stopover programme.

Members of both airlines' loyalty programmes receive oneworld recognition, tier privileges and service benefits across the journey. Both carriers describe the agreement as the first phase of a broader collaboration and say they intend to explore further expansion.

The announcement does not give flight numbers, a date from which codeshare tickets can be booked or the booking channels. Travellers interested in these connections should check with Oman Air or Finnair which itineraries are on sale and which airline operates each leg.
