Air Canada to launch Montréal–Seville flights in September 2027 with the Airbus A321XLR

Air Canada will start a seasonal non-stop service between Montréal and Seville on 8 September 2027, the airline announced on 14 October 2026. It describes the route as the only non-stop link between the Andalusian city and North America, and Seville becomes its fifth destination in Spain.

Flights will operate three times a week from 8 September and four times a week from 1 October 2027. According to the schedule published by Air Canada, which remains subject to change, AC958 leaves Montréal at 20:30 and reaches Seville at 09:30 the next day, while AC959 departs Seville at 12:45 and lands in Montréal at 14:40. The route is scheduled to pause between early January and mid-February 2028 and to run until early June 2028.

The service will use the Airbus A321XLR, a single-aisle aircraft that Air Canada fits with 14 lie-flat Signature Class seats and 168 Economy seats. Passengers can connect in Montréal to destinations in North America, the Caribbean and Latin America, and those continuing to the United States clear US customs preclearance in Montréal.

Mark Galardo, Air Canada's chief commercial officer, said the route cements the carrier as the largest airline by seats between Canada and Spain. The mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, said it would give the city its first direct transoceanic connection, to Canada.

The timetable can still change before launch, so travellers planning autumn 2027 trips should confirm days of operation and times at booking and again closer to departure.
