Air Canada returns to Quito with seasonal Montreal and Toronto flights from December 2026

Air Canada will return to Quito's Mariscal Sucre International Airport in December 2026 with direct flights to Montreal and Toronto, the airport operator Corporación Quiport announced on 30 September. The Montreal–Quito route starts on 4 December and the Toronto–Quito route on 5 December.

The airline will operate four flights a week in total: three on the Montreal route, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with a 255-seat Boeing 787-8, and one on the Toronto route, on Sundays, with a 298-seat Boeing 787-9. Montreal becomes a new direct destination from Quito, while the non-stop link with Toronto is restored. Both cities are Air Canada hubs, which allows onward connections across North America and to Europe.

Alfredo Babún, Air Canada's general manager for the Andean region, linked the return of the flights to the recent signing of a free trade agreement between Ecuador and Canada. Ramón Miró, president and chief executive of Corporación Quiport, said the return widens travel options between the two countries.

The flights are initially seasonal and will operate until March 2027; the airport does not say whether they will continue after that. Tickets are on sale through Air Canada's official channels, and travellers should confirm days and times with the airline before booking.
