Air India Express opens twice-weekly non-stop flights between Visakhapatnam and Bangkok
Air India Express has launched a non-stop, twice-weekly service between Visakhapatnam in India and Bangkok, with the inaugural flight arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 16:00 on 27 October 2026, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said in a press release.
According to TAT, flight IX0904 leaves Visakhapatnam at 11:35 and arrives in Bangkok at 16:00 local time, while the return flight, IX0903, departs Bangkok at 02:10 and reaches Visakhapatnam at 03:55. A TAT delegation led by Patsee Permvongsene, Executive Director for the ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific region, greeted passengers and crew together with Air India Express representatives.
Patsee Permvongsene said India's growing regional cities offer significant opportunities for Thailand to reach new traveller segments. TAT notes that, as of 1 October 2026, 11 airlines operated services between India and Thailand, with 427 weekly flights, and that Indian passport holders have been included in Thailand's 30-day visa-exemption category since 15 September 2026.
TAT does not give the days of operation or the aircraft type, and the schedule may change. Travellers should confirm flight days and times with Air India Express and check Thailand's current entry requirements before they travel.
