Lufthansa keeps its Riyadh flights suspended up to and including 18 November 2026

Lufthansa has suspended its flights to Riyadh up to and including 18 November 2026, according to a Lufthansa Group network notice dated 13 October 2026. The notice lists Frankfurt–Riyadh as a three-times-weekly route, but a footnote states that the flights are suspended until that date, and no later restart date is given.

The same notice sets out other Middle East services that are operating or returning. Vienna–Amman runs twice a week from 2 October and three times a week from 25 October 2026, Frankfurt–Amman six times a week from 25 October, and Stuttgart–Amman once a week from 7 November. Eurowings resumed flights to Beirut on 1 July 2026 and will also resume Amman flights in the 2026/2027 winter schedule.

The Riyadh suspension affects passengers who planned to fly between Frankfurt and the Saudi capital, including travellers from other European cities who would have connected in Frankfurt. It covers the first weeks of the winter schedule, which begins on 25 October.

The notice does not give a reason for the suspension, does not say whether it could be extended again, and states that changes may occur for individual airlines and will be communicated accordingly. Passengers booked with Lufthansa to or from Riyadh should check their booking and the rebooking options directly with the airline.

Check the operator's latest conditions before booking or travelling.
