Royal Brunei cancels Brunei–Jeddah flights BI001 and BI002 on 31 October

Royal Brunei Airlines has cancelled both of its flights between Brunei and Jeddah scheduled for 31 October 2026. In a flight notice published on 28 October, the airline said that BI001 from Brunei to Jeddah and the return service BI002 from Jeddah to Brunei will not operate on that date.

The airline attributes the cancellation to a "regional escalation in Saudi Arabia" and gives no further detail. The notice affects passengers booked on either sector on 31 October, including travellers heading to Jeddah and those due to return to Brunei.

Royal Brunei asks affected passengers to update their contact details through Manage My Booking so that the airline can reach them. It also states that it will not contact affected guests by WhatsApp call, a point passengers should keep in mind when receiving messages about their booking. Group bookings are told to contact their travel agent, and other passengers can contact the airline's 24-hour Customer Service Centre.

The notice does not say whether flights on other dates are affected, nor does it set out rebooking or refund options. Which flights beyond BI001 and BI002 on 31 October may be affected, and whether any compensation applies, is not established. Passengers should follow Royal Brunei's updates and check with the airline before travelling to the airport. AeroDue does not decide or handle claims.
