Qatar Airways opens twice-weekly Doha–Bogotá–Caracas service
Qatar Airways has inaugurated a twice-weekly service linking Doha (DOH) with Bogotá (BOG) in Colombia and Caracas (CCS) in Venezuela, the airline announced on 4 November 2026. The flights operate every Wednesday and Sunday as QR783 with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
According to the published schedule, the flight leaves Doha at 07:35 and reaches Bogotá at 16:25, continues from Bogotá at 17:55 to arrive in Caracas at 21:00, and returns from Caracas at 23:30, landing in Doha at 20:35. The release does not state the time zones for these times. The airline says it is the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela and the first airline to operate nonstop services from the Middle East to both Bogotá and Caracas; the two cities are its 16th and 17th destinations in the Americas.
The timetable is designed for onward connections at Hamad International Airport to Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. Qatar Airways will also place its code on LATAM-operated flights between Bogotá and 17 Colombian domestic destinations, including Cartagena, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and Santa Marta. The airline says it serves more than 170 destinations this winter.
The announcement does not say whether passengers can travel only between Bogotá and Caracas on this service. Travellers should confirm the exact local departure and arrival times, connection options and entry requirements for Venezuela and Colombia with the airline before booking.
