United to resume daily Chihuahua–Houston flights from 28 March 2027, subject to government approval

United Airlines will resume nonstop flights between Chihuahua International Airport and its Houston hub (IAH) on 28 March 2027, subject to government approval, Mexican airport operator OMA announced on 29 October 2026. The route was suspended in 2020 because of the pandemic.

The service is planned to operate daily with Bombardier CRJ-550 aircraft. The published schedule shows departures from Houston at 09:40, arriving in Chihuahua at 11:00, and from Chihuahua at 11:45, arriving in Houston at 14:49. Tickets went on sale on 29 October through United's official sales channels.

OMA says the route expands the airport's US service, complementing existing connections to Texas and Colorado. Up to the end of September 2026, Chihuahua handled 1.5 million passengers, 5.3% more than in the same period of 2025, including 133,931 international passengers, up 3.2%. Ricardo Dueñas, OMA's chief executive, described the connection as "a natural next step that reflects the maturity of our market". Chihuahua's state tourism secretary, Edibray Gómez Gallegos, said international connectivity is an essential driver of the state's economic and tourism development.

Because the launch still depends on government approval, the start date is not yet final. Passengers who book early should watch for confirmation from United and check the schedule before travelling.
